support the Standard MIDI File (SMF) format.

record what you play as a MIDI file. Yamaha digital
instruments use SmartMedia™ card technology to
store data. Once a MIDI file has been recorded, you
can open it in your favorite notation program, then
transpose and edit as you see fit.

Your Computer
Our synthesizers allow you to easily take full advantage
of the power of MIDI with a simple USB cable connection
to your computer. They come with software for editing
and organizing your sounds. Yamaha has also made interacting
with your favorite sequencing software easier. The
MOTIF workstation includes controller templates and
demo versions of Sonar, Cubase VST™ and Logic
Audio®.
