Yamaha Marching Snare, Bass and Tenor Mutes

—Available for Snare, Bass and Tenor Drums—

ANAHEIM, Calif.—Yamaha Corporation of America, Band & Orchestral Division, will introduce a series of Marching Mutes at Winter NAMM 2006.

Yamaha Marching Mutes

The flexible foam pads are designed to enable marching percussion instruments to be played at a low volume with similar resistance.

The Snare and Tenor Drum Mutes are easy to place and remove with a single finger divot, while the Bass Drum Mutes are held in place by a simple Velcro attachment and can be applied or removed within seconds. The Bass Drum Mutes also feature a raised center area that increases accuracy in mallet coordination.

The Marching Snare Mutes are available in 13-in. and 14-in.; the Marching Bass Mute pairs are available in even number sizes from 14 to 32-in. Marching Tenor Mute sets are available in small (2x6-in., 8-in., 10-in., 12-in. and 13-in.) or large (2x6-in., 10-in., 12-in., 13-in. and 14-in.) sizes.

The Yamaha Marching Mutes are currently available.
