The 90-minute clinics feature live streaming web audio, video and a moderated chat room. Using Real Player, participants will be able to chat and ask questions via ICQ (number 125074628), AOL Instant Messaging (at MusicClinics), and email. Complete details and a video trailer may be by viewed logging on to www.vinny.com/clinics.

"People are realizing that this concept is a great way to educate oneself on performing, composition, arranging and musical instruments," Valentino notes. "The clinics are structured very much like one you'd see in a music store, with a performance followed by a Q-and-A session. On the Web, you can reach a ton of people and give them instant examples."

Webcasts include information on scales, chord changes, solos and lines, arranging and performance issues, with the musicians playing in solo, duet and trio arrangements. Future installments will feature additional instrumentation, such quartets and big bands. Valentino plays a vintage Yamaha Pacifica and APX10, CPX15W and AEX1500 guitars, with Andrews playing a Yamaha TRBII electric bass; both use the recently-introduced DG Stomp box and will be debuting the recently-introduced AG Stomp box. Morales plays a Yamaha HipGig Senior drum kit.

Morales is a versatile player whose credits include Stevie Wonder, Gato Barbieri, Dave Valentin and Carly Simon. He is perhaps best known for his work with Spyro Gyra, composing as well as drumming for the group.

Valentino has shared the stage and the recording studio with artists that include Tom Scott, George Benson, Patrice Rushen and Jimmy McGriff, and has appeared as a both guest and guest host on BET Network's "Bet on Jazz." He and his band have opened for Ramsey Lewis, Spyro Gyra, Steve Morse and David Crosby, and continue to play worldwide concerts and festivals.

Andrews has both performed and toured with Michael Brecker, Mike Stern, Vital Information, Branford Marsalis and the Wayne Shorter Quintet. In addition, he has served on the faculties of the Bass Collective, Mannes College of Music and the Manhattan School of Music's jazz program.
