YAMAHA RS7000 AND MOTIF WOW INDUSTRY INSIDERS

BUENA PARK, CA (April 18, 2001)—Yamaha Digital Musical Instruments recently sponsored events to celebrate the launch of the cutting-edge RS7000 Desktop Workstation and Motif Synthesizer. Held March 20 at Apple Computer Campus in Cuppertino, CA; March 22 at Yamaha Artist Services in New York City; and the 3rd Annual “Dirty Dozen” Awards/BBQ during the Winter Music Conference in Miami, the gatherings drew professionals from the DJ, remix, production, hip-hop, editorial and performance communities.

Yamaha product specialist Phil Clendeninn demonstrates the RS7000 Desktop Workstation at the New York product launch reception.

“Both the RS7000 and Motif Synthesizer have been the talk of the digital music community since they were shown at Winter NAMM and MusikMesse,” noted Athan Billias, marketing manager, Yamaha Digital Musical Instruments. “They are, without a doubt, two of Yamaha’s most-anticipated products.”

Phil Clendeninn, Yamaha product specialist, added, “Guests at all three events were completely blown away by the RS7000 and Motif. They all seem to agree that the sounds, the capabilities, the sheer ease of operation, are going to make them re-think the way they can create music.”

Available this summer, the RS7000 and Motif combine the greatest features from some of Yamaha’s hottest products, seamlessly integrating audio and MIDI data.
