GRAND RAPIDS, MI (July 21, 2000)—Yamaha Corporation of America, Band & Orchestral Division, announces three new lip-smacking translucent colors for its popular 20 Series recorders. Translucent Sour Apple Green, Bubble Gum Pink and Cotton Candy Blue are popping up in music rooms across the country. With each model available at Yamaha authorized dealers, it’s never been easier or more fun to get started.

Like all 20 Series recorders, the new translucent offerings are easy to play, with a precise, uniform intonation. Every 20 Series model is perfect for beginning musicians, yet players of all abilities will enjoy their unique look and consistent sound.

Each instrument is a three-piece soprano recorder with Baroque-style fingering. Students are sure to enjoy the bright vivid colors. Educators will appreciate the enthusiasm these instruments generate in their classrooms. The 20 Series recorders have been the most highly regarded plastic recorders in the industry for many years, and teachers and students alike have long appreciated their exceptional quality.

Yamaha 20 Series recorders are crafted of durable ABS resin plastic and come in five models: YRN-22B sopranino recorder (key of F), YRS-23 soprano recorder (German, key of C), YRS-24B soprano recorder (key of C), YRA-24B alto recorder (key of F) and YRF-21 fife (key of C).
