CABARET CAST TOURS YAMAHA GRAND RAPIDS, MI (January 22, 2001)—On November 22, Yamaha Band & Orchestral Division gave a warm "Willkommen" to the 13 cast member/musicians from the Broadway touring production of Cabaret for a special factory tour of its Grand Rapids facility. This revival, based on the Kander and Ebb musical about an English singer and American writer who meet at a nightclub in Berlin on the eve of Hitler's rise, has enjoyed great success on Broadway in New York's famed Studio 54 and on its current tour. The unique production features the cast as part of the orchestra, playing instruments as well as singing and dancing. Yamaha Corporation of America has supported both the original Broadway production and the touring production by supplying wind instruments.
