YAMAHA MLA8 MIC LINE AMPLIFIER DOES A BIG JOB IN A SMALL SPACE
8-Channel Mic/Line Amp Features DM2000 Preamp Design
LAS VEGAS, NV (March 8, 2004)Yamaha Commercial
Audio announces the NSCA debut of the MLA8 mic/line amplifier.
The 8-channel unit, available in June 2004, provides professional-quality
microphone and balanced-line input capability in a slim, single-space,
rack-mount package.
The MLA8 functions as an 8-channel analog mic preamp,
with circuitry based on the preamp design of the award-winning
Yamaha DM2000, and provides up to 70 dB of total gain. Channels
include individual +48V Phantom power, a 26dB pad switch and 80Hz
high pass filter. Other features include eight balanced XLR mic/line
inputs, signal present and peak LED indicator and eight balanced
line-level outputs on Euroblock and 25-pin D-Sub connectors.
"The Yamaha MLA8 answers the need for a low-profile
device that will boost microphone and auxiliary level devices
to line level," states Marc Lopez, product manager, Yamaha
Commercial Audio. "Since the preamp design is based on the
DM2000, the signal is guaranteed to be ultra-clean. In addition,
the MLA8 makes a great accessory for Yamaha's DME and mixer product
lines."
