ANAHEIM, CA—Yamaha Corporation of America announces the debut of a completely new web store at www.yamahagear.com. Unlike other manufacturer apparel sites, including the earlier generation of Yamaha's own e-store, the new site is a full-fledged fashion retailer, out to compete with other clothing companies.
The fresh, inviting look of the website, and the remarkable variety of the products available, will appeal to both Yamaha enthusiasts and trend-conscious "fashionistas" who want to sport the best custom gear. The offerings include unique twists on the traditional Yamaha logo t-shirt, flight jackets, hats and an entire line of gear specifically designed for young women. For the less adventurous, traditional polo shirts and logo-wear will always be available.

The site is as friendly to Yamaha authorized retailers as it is to direct consumers. A password-access ordering page allows dealers to purchase any merchandise on the site for direct shipment to their stores.
"The new Yamahagear.com is the only true apparel site that offers the powerful identity of Yamaha in a consumer-oriented fashion line," says Bryan Savage, manager, Yamaha Accessory Products. "Most manufacturers offer logo products, but we're going to the next level, competing head-to-head with the biggest apparel sites."
