YAMAHA PSR273 IS A WINNING COMBINATION
Includes Built-In Teacher, Backlit LCD,
Great Sounds, Breakthrough Price
ANAHEIM, CAYamaha makes it easy and fun to become a
keyboard wizard with the introduction of the 61-key PSR273 Portable
Keyboard. Available in July 2003, the PSR273 features 61 piano-sized
keys and a selection of some of the best voices available today,
thanks in part to Yamaha’s XG-Lite voice set. The unit
includes 480 realistic instrument voices, 32 notes of polyphony
and Yamaha’s Portable Grand technology—which reproduces
the most realistic piano sound available in portable keyboards
today.
The built-in Yamaha Education Suite (YES II) teaching system
contains over 100 songs to learn, teaching note reading and
chords in seven steps. YES II will even count down the beat
and offer feedback, just like a real teacher.
Other features include DSP, reverb and chorus effects, plus
dual voice layering and split voice, which allow two different
voices to be played at the same time. All functions may be viewed
via an easy-to-read backlit LCD display.
Using the MIDI IN/OUT connections and a PC button for quick
online connection, users can take lessons on a computer or the
Internet. The Yamaha PSR273 may be enjoyed through headphones
or through the stereo speaker system with bass ports, and can
be powered by six D-cell batteries or a Yamaha PA3C power adapter.
“The Yamaha PSR273 has been designed for the more discriminating
music retail customer,” states Jim Presley, marketing
manager, Yamaha Portable Keyboards. “Functions and features
like 32 notes of polyphony, 480 XG voices, the ability to split
and layer, plus an ‘electronics superstore’ price
point makes the PSR273 both an incredible deal and an amazing
instrument.”
