YAMAHA ROCKS ON WITH AES620 ELECTRIC
New, Lower-Cost AES Model Set for Winter
NAMM Debut
ANAHEIM, CAYamaha Guitars answers the requests of young
players for an axe that can withstand the punishing pace of
today’s harder, guitar-driven music with the AES620 electric.
Designed at Yamaha’s USA Custom Guitar shop, the AES620
is currently available.
“This model takes its cue from the Yamaha AES820, with
a characteristic mammoth sound, fast feel, cutting-edge appearance
and an incredible price point that will suit any lead or rhythm
player,” states Ken Dapron, director, Yamaha Guitar Development.
“It’s perfect for today’s hard rock, alt-rock,
punk or metal styles.”
The AES620 features a highly contoured, solid Nato body with
a Flame Maple veneer top, fast Nato neck and Rosewood fingerboard.
Electronics include an Alnico humbucking neck and Duncan JB
bridge pickups, plus active and passive volume controls. Other
design elements include a low-mass Tun-O-Matic style bridge,
plus chrome knobs, tuning machines, toggle switch and logo.
Color variations for the top include Translucent Dark Red, Royal
Blue and Faded Burst.
“This AES rocks as hard as its older siblings,”
states Joseph Brasler, marketing manager, Yamaha Guitars. “It
looks great, and the sound and feel are loud and tight. Best
of all, the price point makes this axe ideal for the younger
player, or for the rock guitarist needing a reliable second
instrument.”
