YAMAHA AEX500N2: VINTAGE MEETS VISIONARY
New Addition to Line Expands on Classic
AEX Series
ANAHEIM, CAYamaha Guitars will unveil the latest addition
to its classic AEX family at Winter NAMM 2003 with the debut
of the AEX500N2 electric guitar. Expanding on the innovative
thin line design of the AEX500 series, the semi-hollow body
AEX500N2 features an improved preamp for optimum sound reproduction
and a unique tone.
“Yamaha received high marks for the previous models
in the AEX family, from both professional musicians and casual
hobbyists,” states Joseph Brasler, marketing manager,
Yamaha Guitars. “We expect this new version to sound even
better and garner positive response—particularly among
players in the Jazz, Blues and lighter music genres.”
Designed in collaboration with jazz giant Martin Taylor, the
AEX500N2 is a fine example of Yamaha’s vintage-meets-visionary
philosophy, and features nylon strings and a one-way Piezo pickup
system. The 3-band graphic EQ and a single volume control allow
for simple operation of the instrument.
A Spruce top and Agathis body with a Maple neck and Rosewood
fingerboard achieve a unique tone. The string spacing and neck
shape provide a comfortable feel throughout every playing position.
The AEX500N2 is currently available.
