NEW YAMAHA UPRIGHTS AND CONSOLES OFFER STYLISH CABINET OPTIONS
New Bill Faber Designs Fit a Variety
of Home Decors
ANAHEIM, CABuyers of Yamaha upright and console pianos
will have more aesthetic choices this year with the addition
of several attractive new cabinet styles. The M500CH console
and the P600S, P600QA and P600T uprights all offer new furniture
options for proven instrument designs.
"The piano is unique among musical instruments because
home buyers view it as a piece of fine furniture as well as
a musical instrument," says Paul Calvin, piano marketing
manager, Yamaha Corporation of America. "These new cabinet
designs open up the possibilities for more consumers, so that
a quality Yamaha piano can be the centerpiece of any room."
The P600S, P600QA and P600T, created by noted American designer
Bill Faber, are built around the tone and performance of the
proven P22 45-in. upright with gorgeous cabinets that go with
today's furniture styles. "The P22 is very popular
with schools, churches, universities and teachers around the
country," Calvin says. "Now, people can enjoy the
institutional quality of the P22 in a gorgeous cabinet that
will enhance the beauty of their home."
The P600S Sheraton is a Satin Mahogany cabinet with a flame
Mahogany inset, beaded trim on the keyslip, a sunrise patterned
music desk and a one-piece leg. The P600QA Queen Anne is crafted
in Satin Cherry, with a curved one-piece leg, a burl overlay
on the music desk and decorative molding on the top board. The
P600T Tuscan offers an Ash Burl inlay, top board molding, an
Alfresco finish and a one-piece fluted leg with decorative carving.
The M500CH presents the popular 44-inch acoustic console piano
in a Chippendale-style Mahogany finish with a ball-and-claw
leg, flame Mahogany inlay and decorative molding on the top
board. Also designed by Bill Faber, the new upright will be
at home with popular furniture from America's finest manufacturers.
The M500CH console and P600S, P600QA and P600T uprights will
all be available in September, 2002.
