By combining the scale and rich tonal quality of the Yamaha C Series with the cost advantages of the Yamaha G Series, the GC1 opens up new possibilities for entry-level music connoisseurs. It features a duplex scale and tone collector as well as the elegant music rack from the C1, all at the G Series price point. The CG1 will be available in Polished Ebony in June 2002, with special finishes following two months later.
"In the past, Yamaha has designed G Series pianos for home use, while the C Series pianos offered the tonal resources to meet the needs of the finest conservatories," says Paul Calvin, piano marketing manager, Piano Division, Yamaha Corporation of America. "The GC1 combines the tonal quality of the C1 scale with the cost savings traditionally found in the G Series pianos. Now, home customers can enjoy the renowned C Series sound at a very affordable price."
The GC1 5'3" Classic Collection Grand Piano will be available in Polished Ebony, Satin Ebony, Satin American Walnut, Polished White, Polished American Walnut, Polished Ivory and Polished Mahogany finishes.
