YAMAHA RBX170 TAKES BASS LINE TO THE CUTTING EDGE
Takes "Entry Level" to the
Next Level
ANEHEIM, CABuilding on the legacy of the popular Yamaha
RBX Series electric bass guitars, Yamaha Corporation of America
is ready to take today's music to the cutting edge and beyond,
with the Winter NAMM 2002 introduction of the affordable RBX170.
"This bass simply rocks," says David Bergstrom,
director of marketing, Combo Group, Pro Audio & Combo Division.
"Now, beginners or weekend warriors can own a quality Yamaha
bass without spending big dollars."
The RBX170 sports an Agathis body, Maple neck, Rosewood fingerboard
and chrome hardware. Electronics include split single coil pickups
(straight type) and passive volume, tone, and balance controls.
"The best thing about the RBX Series is their no-nonsense
approach," notes Gary Cook, product manager, Yamaha Guitars.
"They're designed to deliver solid performance night
in and night out. You can hear it in the way the pickups bring
out the tone woods, and you can feel it in the construction."
The RBX170 is currently available in Gloss Black, Red Metallic,
and Dark Blue Metallic.
