NEW YAMAHA PRODUCTS MAKE LIFE EASIER, MORE CONVENIENT FOR WIND
PLAYERS
ANAHEIM, CAYamaha Corporation of America, Band &
Orchestral Division, will introduce a number of wind accessories
at Winter NAMM 2002.
For students, Yamaha offers the YAC 1387 for the YTR-2335
trumpet and the YAC 1389 for the YAS-23 alto saxophone. For
professional players there is the YAC 1406 professional trumpet
case cover and the YAC 1405 professional saxophone case cover.
All four are two-in-one case covers designed to shield trumpet
and alto saxophone cases and provide three key features: extra
protection for the instrument, a convenient and comfortable
way of carrying the case, and storage space for accessories.
The case covers are styled in black nylon for durability and
sport the Yamaha embroidered logo, while versatile straps make
them comfortable to carry as a backpack or briefcase. A zippered
pocket makes it convenient to carry instruments, band folders,
method books, sheet music and other accessories.
"Functional as well as fashionable, these case covers
give students the option of carrying their instrument 'backpack'
style, while giving adults the more sophisticated look of a
briefcase, noted Jim Metz, Wind Instrument Product Specialist.
"The black nylon is easy to clean and has a professional
look.
The YAC 1387 and YAC 1389 cases and the YAC 1405 and YAC 1406
cases are currently available.
The YAC SHC-301 sousaphone case cover is made from black molded
plastic and is form fitted to the YSH-301. The case has a classic
look, and the molded plastic offers far more protection than
typical leather sousaphone bags.
"The newest in the line of Yamaha cases, the YAC SHC-301
is form-fitted and offers the absolute best protection for the
Yamaha sousaphone, says Jim Metz, Wind Instrument Product
Specialist. "The plastic material makes it a very durable
and easy-to-clean case. This is an ideal way to protect the
sousaphone, and thus the band's investment. The case
is currently available.
Gone are the days of scratches, dings, dents and sore shoulders,
thanks to Yamaha's redesigned YMA-SBP branch protector
and YMA-SSP shoulder pad for sousaphones. The black pads attach
to the upper and lower branches using Velcro straps. The black
color will hide wear better than the old white pads, and the
Velcro straps make attachment, removal, and adjustment to straps
easier and faster. There is even a special pad to protect a
section of the upper branch from dents caused by falling mouthpieces.
Both are currently available.
