NASHVILLE, TNYamaha Corporation of America, Band & Orchestral Division, will introduce acoustic Performance, Competition and Soloist violin outfits at Summer NAMM 2004.
Yamaha will offer a total of five outfits: the AV10 and AV20 Performance and Competition Outfits and the AV20 Soloist Outfit. An outfit is composed of a Yamaha intermediate violin (an AV10 or AV20) with premium strings, a Yamaha carbon fiber bow, case and rosin. The Performance Outfit features a crescent-shaped super-light suspension case with hygrometer, a CBB-101 standard Yamaha carbon fiber bow and an AV10 or AV20 violin with Dominant strings and Dominant rosin. The Competition Outfit includes an oblong super-light suspension case with hygrometer, a CBB-103 intermediate Yamaha carbon fiber bow and an AV10 or AV20 violin with Dominant strings and Dominant rosin. The Soloist Outfit consists of an oblong super-light suspension case with hygrometer, a CBB-105 professional Yamaha carbon fiber bow and is available only with an AV20 violin with Dominant strings and Dominant rosin.
“Yamaha is excited to offer complete outfits that address not only the instrument, but the strings, rosin, bow and case,” states Daryl Silberman, product specialist for Orchestral Strings, Band & Orchestral Division. “We have assembled premium outfits that feature the heightened quality of our intermediate violins and our carbon fiber bows.” The outfits are expected to ship in July.
“These hassle-free outfits eliminate guesswork and reduce buying time, offering dealers and consumers an all-in-one packaged outfit featuring the best Yamaha has to offer, for a price that’s less than it would cost to buy the items separately,” notes Michael Schaner, assistant manager, Strings, Yamaha Band & Orchestral Division.
