SYSTEM SOFTWARE VERSION 1.5 AVAILABLE FOR YAMAHA PM1D DIGITAL MIXING SYSTEM

—Upgrades Expansion and Operational Functions, Adds Features for Theater and Broadcast—

LOS ANGELES, CA (October 5, 2002)—Yamaha Corporation of America, Commercial Audio Systems Division, announces the availability of System Software Version 1.5 for the award-winning PM1D Digital Mixing System. The package contains operational enhancements and new expansion capabilities, plus unique feature sets specifically designed for theatrical and broadcast applications.

Operational enhancements include Global Paste, Auto Mix Minus, an improved Patch Screen and DCA Mute Indication. Expansion capabilities include Dual Console Mode, System Cascade and Remote MIDI Control Change operation.

"Yamaha has been listening to its customers and paying close attention to how the PM1D is being used," states Marc Lopez, product manager, Commercial Audio. "The addition of System Software V1.5 will expand the functionality of the product, for any application."

Current PM1D owners can receive the free upgrade through authorized Yamaha Commercial Audio dealers.
