BUENA PARK, CA (March 12, 2004)—Designed to fit the budgets of performing musicians, DJs, houses of worship, schools and small-to-medium sized venues, the BR Series loudspeakers from Yamaha Professional Audio carry on a tradition of quality, affordable sound reinforcement products. Five models developed for mobile and permanent applications offer customers high performance and complete system flexibility.

"Although the 'BR' prefix was chosen to represent 'Bass Reflex,' it is also very appropriate for describing the line's advanced feature set," explains Wayne Hrabak, marketing manager, Professional Audio. "This series offers products that have the full frequency response and high output found in more costly systems. It's built right, has better response and the best reliability."

The BR Series has been engineered for the best balance of easy-to-handle cabinet sizes and great low frequency response using bass reflex technology. The series includes 10", 12" and 15" 2-way enclosures, plus 12" and 15" floor monitors (designated with the suffix "M").

High frequency response has been enhanced with the addition of new Titanium drivers and 90° by 40° non-resonant horns, while integrated protection circuitry built into the passive crossover ensures a long life of high output and minimal distortion.

Constructed using advanced computer-controlled woodworking at Yamaha Music Manufacturing in Thomaston, Georgia, BR cabinets include weatherproof exterior finishes; heavy gauge, full-face perforated steel grilles; steel corner protectors; large metal handles; and steel input panels with dual 1/4-in. connectors. In addition, all cabinets (including monitors) contain built-in pole mounting sockets for added flexibility.
