BUENA PARK, CA (April 23, 2004)The PianoSmart technology

now, the catalog of Smart PianoSoft titles to use with that technology
is bigger and more diverse than ever before.

Feel
like having Elton John, Meat Loaf and 10,000 Maniacs entertain
at your next get-together? How about the Beatles? It's no
problem with the Yamaha Disklavier and Smart PianoSoft disks.
More than 300 titles are available in the constantly growing
library.
|
There are more than 300 Smart PianoSoft disks currently available,
with selections ranging from classics like Miles Davis and the Beatles
to current chart-toppers like Norah Jones and Andrea Bocelli. And
with some 25 titles added each month, there's always new music to
enjoy - recent additions include Elton John's The Road to El
Dorado, Beethoven's Fifth and Seventh Symphonies, Willie Nelson's
The Great Divide, Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon
and Garfunkel and James Taylor's Sweet Baby James. To see
or buy more Smart PianoSoft disks, visit an authorized Yamaha retailer
or visit Yamaha's online
store or Yamaha's publishing partner Hal
Leonard.
Each disk works along with the corresponding standard audio CD
to create a stunning performance. The Disklavier plays the piano
part "live," while its onboard sound system delivers a
crystal-clear rendition of the vocals and other instrument parts.
It's the closest you can come to having your favorite artists perform
in your home.
"Creating PianoSmart technology was only the beginning of
this revolution in home entertainment," says Cameron Shearer,
Disklavier marketing manager for Yamaha's Piano Division. "The
piano's unique capability, and users' ability to enjoy it, depends
just as much on having a fantastic music library to play on the
system. With the broad and rapid growth of our Smart PianoSoft library,
we're keeping that commitment to our customers every day."
The Yamaha Disklavier is the high-tech update to the old player
piano - a real, concert-quality instrument that can also play itself
using a sophisticated but easy-to-use system of onboard electronics.
The magic of Smart PianoSoft disks is made possible by the PianoSmart
technology built into each Mark III Disklavier; while the keys move
up and down to create the piano part, other instruments and vocals
from the standard CD are played through the piano's sound system,
for a total entertainment experience.
