NEW SOFTWARE TITLES TO MAKE YOUR MARK III SING

With Smart PianoSoft, the Mark III Disklavier plays along with your own standard audio CDs – and the library of available titles keeps growing.

BUENA PARK, CA (March 28, 2003)—A dozen new selections ranging from country to opera have made Yamaha’s Smart PianoSoft library more exciting than ever for owners of Mark III Disklavier pianos.

Using Yamaha’s SmartPiano technology, Mark III models automatically synchronize the playback of standard audio CDs with the Smart PianoSoft disks—providing the acoustic piano part in real-time while the on-board sound system delivers vocals and other instruments. SmartPiano is included on all new Mark III Disklaviers, and can be added to older Mark III models through an upgrade available on floppy disk.

The new additions bring the Smart PianoSoft catalog to more than five dozen titles, and include favorites from Anne Murray, Hank Williams Jr., Elvis Presley, Luciano Pavarotti, Joni Mitchell, Liza Minelli, The Beach Boys, Faith Hill, Sarah Vaughan, Dean Martin, Linda Ronstadt and Sade. Each Smart PianoSoft disc must be accompanied by the corresponding standard CD, which a handy link on Yamaha’s site makes it easy to purchase.

The same remarkable system lets Disklavier Mark III owners play along with CDs themselves, too. To create a piano accompaniment at home, an artist can simply record his or her performance on the Disklavier while the audio CD plays. SmartPiano technology will match the two together on playback.
