BUENA PARK, CA (July 12, 2002)Matthias Jabs
has rocked the world playing guitar with German-based hard rockers
The
Scorpions since joining in 1979. Chopping rhythms and ballads
into hot-rocking slices, Jabs helped catapult the band to superstar
status with such hits as "Blackout," "Big City
Nights" and "Rock You Like a Hurricane." To further
fuel his musical sting both on and off stage, Jabs currently uses
the Yamaha CPX15
Handcrafted Acoustic/Electric guitar in tandem with Yamaha's DG130H
Digital Guitar Amphead.
Drawing inspiration from the oceans of the world,
the Yamaha CPX15 is the first in a line of thematically-designed
acoustic electrics. Handcrafted with the finest woods and materials,
the entire Compass Series features solid Spruce tops, Ebony fingerboards,
and a unique preamp system that includes a System 45 preamp Piezo
pick-up and condenser microphone.
The Compass Series feature a natural finish; Rosewood
back and sides; gold tuners; and a nautical design that creates
an ideal platform to launch your acoustic odyssey. When 'Loud,
Louder, Loudest' is the phrase of the game, the Yamaha DG130H
Digital Guitar Amphead will blast across concert arenas and stadiums.
Similar to the street lethal features of the DG80-112, with a
130-watt head and articulate amp models and motorized chicken
head knobs, the DG130H also includes 128 patch locations, MIDI
effects control, XLR output with speaker simulation, effects send/return
with blend control, MIDI IN/OUT, extension speaker jacks for connecting
external cabinets. Slap this into a Yamaha 4x12 Speaker Cabinet
and you have a dangerous combination that will "rip the rooftops
off!"
Just in time to launch their latest album, "Bad
For Good: The Very Best of Scorpions" Jabs and The
Scorpions have embarked on a three month, hard-rocking tour
of the U.S.
