YAMAHA NAMES JOSEPH BRASLER GUITAR MARKETING MANAGER

New Yamaha Guitar Marketing Manager, Joseph Brasler.

BUENA PARK, CA (September 20, 2002)—Yamaha Corporation of America announces the appointment of Joseph Brasler to the position of marketing manager, Pro Audio & Combo (PAC) Division, Guitar Products. The announcement was made by David Bergstrom, director of marketing, Pro Audio & Combo Division.

In his new position, Brasler will oversee the marketing and promotional efforts for all guitars and basses, amplification and effects, and will report directly to Bergstrom and PAC general manager Rick Young.

Brasler comes to Yamaha from Line 6 Corporation, where he held the positions of regional sales representative, director of domestic sales and director of sales, national accounts. Prior to joining Line 6, he was employed by Rivera Research and Development, Digital Music Corporation, Bogner Amplification, and Make’n Music, a musical instrument retailer. Brasler is also a professional musician, with tour credits that include Boz Scaggs, Bob Welch, Steve Lukather, Burton Cummings and Etta James. A native of Los Angeles, Brasler currently resides in Reseda.
