Yamaha Magicstomp Stereo Stomp Box Is Hot Item
BUENA PARK, CA (April 30, 2004)The Yamaha
Magicstomp
is a new concept in effects technology for the studio or gigging
musician. Designed for electric or acoustic/electric guitars,
the Magicstomp provides effects from the Yamaha UD,
AG
and DG Stomp programs, plus a number of digital effects from the
Yamaha SPX
family in an ultra-compact, user-friendly "stomp box"

Loaded with a total of 198 sound programs (99 preset/99
user), the Magicstomp contains vintage and new amp models, studio-quality
effects and speaker/microphone models, using powerful 24-bit processing.
The Magicstomp connects via USB to a computer (MAC
or PC format) to allow deep editing of programs, patch configuration
and patch downloads from the Internet. Bundled software includes
driver, editor and tone data files, with a number of preset and
additional patches.
Magicstomp users also have a "one stop shop"
to upload or download programs free of charge (www.magicstomp.com).
The website contains an overview of the unit's features, an audio
demo and instruction guide, Patch/PC and Editor/USB Driver downloads
and patches from high-profile artists.
Users can simply connect their Magicstomp to a Mac
or PC computer via USB and begin editing programs, patch configurations,
downloads, or share their patches with other Magicstomp users.

The user-friendly interface contains hot-rod plum
and brushed aluminum bodywork, an easy-to-read LCD, three surface
multi-function parameter knobs, increment/decrement and on/off
switches and volume control. Popular parameters are available
in real time. In addition to USB, connections include balanced
¼" stereo outputs. Accessories include a 9-Volt phantom
power supply and USB cable.
The Magicstomp is currently available.
