YAMAHA HIPGIG KITS GET HIPPER WITH ADDITIONS

—Add-on Toms Available For Selected Signature Hipgig Sets—

BUENA PARK, CA (April 1, 2002)—To accommodate the growing number of drummers looking to expand the size and sonic capabilities of their Hipgig kits, Yamaha Drums is offering add-on toms for the Rick Marotta Hipgig and Al Foster Hipgig drum sets.

"The Hipgig drum sets have set the standard for compact portable drum kits," states Jerry Andreas, marketing manager, Yamaha Drums. "Now drummers can expand on this unique drum set in a cost effective way."

Hipgig customers will appreciate the ability to expand their sets while maintaining the ultimate in portability. Toms in 8-in. x 5.5-in and 12-in. x 6.5-in. configurations are available for the Rick Marotta Hipgig, and a 10-in x 6.5-in. is available for the Al Foster Sr. Hipgig. Features include 6-ply Birch/Mahogany shells with the exclusive Air-Seal System to ensure that every shell is perfectly round and uniform in size, and Yamaha’s signature tom mount.

Available finishes include Cherry wood, White Marine Pearl and Mellow Yellow for the Marotta toms; Gold Marine Pearl, White Marine Pearl and Jaguar for the Al Foster model. Individual gig bags are also included with each drum.
