YAMAHA DRUM FOOT PEDAL LINE PROVIDES FIRM FOUNDATION

—New Single and Double Models Adapt to Any Drumming Style—

BUENA PARK, CA (July 19, 2002)—Recognizing the need for sturdy, durable and reliable drum hardware components, Yamaha Drums has introduced a new series of foot pedals, ranging from lightweight designs for beginning players to professional features for the serious or career musician.

Five single- and seven double-pedal models are currently shipping. Notated with prefixes FP or DFP, all models with foot boards feature collapsible frames for easy packing and storage. A variety of drive types—including single or double chain, direct or strap drive—provide extremely smooth action and will satisfy the requirements of any musical style. All pedals are manufactured to extreme tolerances in Yamaha’s motorcycle factory, and will easily withstand the rigors of constant use or the abuse of the road.

These new pedals offer a wide rage of feel that will address the needs of any type of music and withstand any style of drumming."

Additional features include footboard and beater angle adjustment, real felt beaters, a spring lock system, new footboard and heel designs, and soft cases for selected models.
