BUENA PARK, CA (January 2, 2004)For almost
five years, the Yamaha DTXPRESS
series electronic drum kits have set a standard in performance
and value for the professional and amateur drummer. With an emphasis
on improved sound, natural feel and user-friendliness, Yamaha
Drums now offers the DTXPRESS III.
Currently available at the original MSRP,
the DTXPRESS III features a selection of new audio waveforms that
reproduce ultra-realistic sounds, with a strong concentration
on acoustic cymbal sounds. Upgraded soft rubber pads offer drummers
more performance comfort, better feel and natural rebound.
Physical improvements include gray metallic support
racks that will hide chips and scratches. The DTXPRESS III ships
in a single box with the rack fully assembled and all cables coded
on both ends, so users can simply fold out the support legs and
cymbal arms for a quick and easy setup.
"The features and price point of the DTXPRESS
III beat those of any other system on the market," states
David Jewell, marketing manager, Yamaha Drums. "Even with
the updated waveforms, new rack and pads, Yamaha has been able
to hold the DTXPRESS III to its initial production price, and
that makes this new kit a better buy than ever."
Like previous models in the series, the DTXPRESS
III is loaded with more than 1,000 sounds, 128 GM voices, 80 drum
kits, 127 songs, an integrated 2-track sequencer, 3-zone snare
pad, the Groove Check practice feature and easy-view backlit display.
The DTXPRESS III also allows players to practice and perform in
complete privacy using headphones, and will connect directly to
a PC or Mac computer via an external MIDI interface or the integrated
TO HOST connection.
