YAMAHA RECORDERS EXPLODE WITH COLOR

Yamaha translucent recorders

GRAND RAPIDS, MI (September 27, 2002)—Yamaha has put a little more fun into your child’s music making. The company has introduced the nation’s first translucent recorders in three new lip-smacking colors. Available in Sour Apple Green, Bubble Gum Pink and Cotton Candy Blue, the recorders are perfect for beginning musicians, yet players of all abilities will enjoy their unique look and consistent sound.

Each instrument is a three-piece soprano recorder with Baroque-style fingering making them easy to play, with precise, uniform intonation. Yamaha recorders have been the most highly-regarded plastic recorders in the industry for many years, and teachers and students alike have long appreciated their exceptional quality.

Each year, millions of children nationwide are introduced to the very first instrument they learn to play: the recorder. Today, the importance of getting kids started on music is better understood than ever before. Scientific research has shown that active music making—not just passive listening—is linked to brain development in young people. Kids who make music have even been shown to score better on math, science and spatial reasoning tests.

The Yamaha recorders are available at Yamaha authorized dealers nationwide.
