NEW YAMAHA BELLS AND TIMPANI

GRAND RAPIDS, MI (May 23, 2003)—Yamaha Corporation of America, Band & Orchestral Division, has recently introduced the YG-2500 Bells and TP-9000 Series Timpani.

YG-2500 Bells

Designed with the sound and features desired by professional orchestras, the YG-2500 bells' professional features include an extended range (C52-E92), full-width pedal dampening system and height adjustment by pneumatic struts. Based on Deagan bar specifications and tuning, the bells represent the ultimate in sound quality. A dark stained wood frame adds a touch of class, and locking casters on the playing side ensure stability during play.

An intensive three-year design project with professional players from around the world resulted in the TP-9000 series timpani, which features heavy-duty frames, a fine tuner and a locking pedal mechanism. Both Dresden and Berlin type pedal systems are available with an American or German style set-up. All models feature the clear, resonant sound of the Yamaha hand-hammered bowl, as well as an extended tuning gauge, quiet mechanisms, and heavy-duty rim.
