SURROUND SOUND offers sound production in 3.1, 5.1
and 6.1 channel modes. In Surround mode, mix busses 17 through
24 are designated as surround busses. Parameters for L-R, F-R
and LFE can be controlled from the Input Sel selection on the
CSD1 control surface.
CONSOLE LOCK and PARAMETER LOCK provide two levels
of security over the system, and offer protection when leaving
the console unattended. CONSOLE LOCK will suspend all console
operations; PARAMETER LOCK prohibits the change of specified settingseven
when another scene is recalled. Two separate passwords can be
used to allow access to each level of security.
GLOBAL CHANNEL COPY allows the operator to copy
any parameter to multiple channels within one Scene Memory. With
SCENE RECALL SAFE, channels can be recall safed either
Globally or by Scene.
A PC UPLOAD function will allow the Copy Scene data
to be copied from the PM1D Manager to the CS1D control surface
via USB.
Version 1.6 addresses the true versatility
of Yamaha PM1D, states Larry Italia, general manager, Yamaha
Commercial Audio. This software package gives the PM1D operator
even more power, plus the added benefits of surround capabilities,
more options to copy and save mix data, and additional security.
Current PM1D owners can receive the free upgrade
through authorized Yamaha Commercial Audio dealers.
