SREV1
|
By utilizing proprietary Convolution sampling technology,
the Yamaha SREV1 uses impulse response samples of actual acoustic
environments, rather than the generated algorithms found on other
high-end reverb products (sampling reverberation provides faithful
reproductions of real-world acoustic spaces based on actual acoustic
data acquired on location). The system includes the SREV1 (24-bit/48kHz
3U high rack-mount mainframe), RC-SREV1 Remote Controller and
DB-SREV1 DSP Expansion Board.
A selection of onboard, editable reverb programs
simulate actual environments, with each offering control of pre-EQ,
post-EQ and Reverb parameters. The reverb operates in 2-Channel
(up to 5.46 sec./channel), 4-Channel (up to 2.73 sec./channel)
or 2-Channel x 2 (up to 5.46 sec./channel for each processor)
modes. With the addition of the DSP expansion board, reverb time
in each mode is doubled, producing reverbs of up to 10.92 seconds.
The unit can be completely operated by a remote controller which
may be located up to 100 meters from the SREV1.

Motif Music Production Synthesizer
|
The Yamaha Motif Music Production Synthesizer combines
the sonic power of the worlds most advanced synthesizer,
the hands-on immediacy of a groove box, a unique Integrated Sampling
Sequencer and an approachable user interface in one package. The
61-key Motif 6, 76-key Motif 7, and weighted-action 88-key Motif
8 feature some of the best sounds from the Yamaha S80, 9000 Pro,
and EX series synthesizers, Modular Synthesis plug-in slots for
expansion, and an improved category search function for quick
access to sounds.
The heart of Motif is the Integrated Sampling Sequencer
(ISS), which allows both MIDI and audio to be combined seamlessly.
Users may "slice" audio based on amplitude peaks, then
manipulate those pieces as if they were regular MIDI data. Motif
contains linear and pattern sequencers (with the ability to transfer
data between the two), plus four real-time physical sliders and
four physical knobs, which work as 16 virtual knobs and 16 virtual
sliders when used with the expanded real-time control functions.
In addition, templates are included for using Motif as a remote
control surface for some of the industrys most popular software
sequencers (including Steinberg Cubase VST, Logic Audio, Cakewalk
and Digidesign Pro Tools).
The addition of a real-time external control surface,
full expandability and outstanding online support make Motif a
truly revolutionary, all-in-one music production experience.
Motifator.com,
a third party support and forum website for Motif users, has been
