YAMAHA BB2004 AND BB2005 EXPAND ON NATHAN EAST DESIGN
New Electric Basses Boast Versatile Tone Control, Stunning
Aesthetics
BUENA PARK, CA (May 16, 2003)The 4-string
BB2004
and its 5-string counterpart, the BB2005,
build on the success of a line of electric basses bearing the
Nathan East
body silhouette. Both instruments deliver the complete package:
spectacular looks, a flexible electronics package, Yamaha's legendary
playability-and outstanding value.
Materials include a Maple/Alder body mated to a
5-piece configuration Maple/Mahogany neck. The 35", 24-fret
Rosewood fingerboard is built for speed and comfort. The thru-neck
design offers outstanding sustain and works in concert with the
body shape to allow superior access to the upper reaches.
Butit's the electronics that set these basses
apart. The BB2004 and BB2005 feature Alnico hum canceling pickups
and the advanced NE-1 parametric EQ, which delivers onboard performance
that rivals that of outboard gear.
"The playing surface alone makes this bass
an ideal tool for working pros," notes Joseph Brasler, marketing
manager, Yamaha Guitars. "But the addition of the NE-1 gives
the player ultimate control of his or her own tone."
Other features include independent bridge saddles,
heavy-duty tuners, and an extra strength truss rod. Each bass
is protected by a limited lifetime warranty. The BB2004 is available
in Black and White finishes, while the BB2005 also comes in a
spectacular natural finish.
