For over 110 years, Yamaha has been producing high quality musical instruments. The knowledge gained in building and listening to these finely crafted products has given Yamaha great insight into recording and reproducing the sounds these instruments make. As a result, Yamaha Pro Audio provides a broad range of products tailored to both recording and sound reinforcement applications.

Here are a few examples of products particularly relevant to educational use. Please visit www.yamaha.com/proaudio to view Yamaha’s comprehensive offering.

Sound Reinforcement

Some combination of mixer, powered mixer, amplifier and loudspeakers comprise what is commonly referred to as a public address system. Whether your requirement is to cover a small classroom or large auditorium with intelligible sound, Yamaha’s broad line of high-value components can get the job done at a surprisingly affordable price.

Recording

Aside from the need to playback pre-recorded CDs and cassettes, many institutions want the ability to record lectures, concerts and other special presentations at the highest quality possible. The introduction of the DAW (digital audio workstation) within the past few years has made this desire a reality. An all-in-one DAW combines the power of a digital mixer, hard-disk recorder and CD burner within a small, affordable recording system that provides true studio-quality results. Record, mix, edit, master, and burn a performance onto CD, all without leaving the recording station. Three models – the AW16G, AW2816, and AW4416 – are available to satisfy all recording applications.
