How can you acquire the instruments you need today and stay
within your budget?

Lease.

The purpose of a leasing plan is to assist music departments in acquiring the necessary instruments for their program with a minimal capital investment.

Benefits of Leasing versus Purchasing

  • Helps beat inflation by acquiring the instruments needed today while avoiding annual price increases.
  • While staying within their budget, music directors have the opportunity to obtain needed instruments to complete a successful music program, or to replace those older models that are depleting their repair budget.
  • You choose the term of the lease.
  • All public schools, parochial schools, universities and school booster organizations are pre-approved.

Step-by-Step Procedures

  • Music director discusses needs with local school music dealer.
  • The dealer will prepare a lease proposal for the music director and school officials stating the exact cost of a 2, 3, 4 or 5 year lease plan to fit their school budget.
  • A formal lease will be prepared and sent to the school for authorized signatures.
  • Upon receipt of the signed lease documents, the dealer will be notified to deliver the instruments to the school.
  • After receiving the instruments, school officials will then sign the acceptance certificate and return it along with the first annual payment.
  • The subsequent payments will be due on the anniversary date of the lease.
  • After the lease has been paid in full, the school may purchase the instruments on the lease for $1.00.

College Sampler Program

Band & Orchestral Division College Sampler Program

The College Sampler Program (CSP) offers colleges and universities a unique way to enhance the quality of instruments used by music education majors. Just as students in school are expected to be able to play a new, quality instrument, so should future teachers of those students learn how to play, and teach on similar, quality instruments. Using the CSP music methods, students can be assured of learning their profession on quality instruments and music departments can budget more wisely and, if desired, instruments used in methods classes can be replaced over time at a significant savings.

The CSP is a plan that involves the college/university, a Yamaha wind instrument dealer, and Yamaha Corporation, Band & Orchestral Division.

Here’s How it Works:

  • An agreement is reached on the number of instruments needed by the college.
  • An agreement is signed between Yamaha, the college, and the local dealer.
  • The college is given free use of the instruments for the agreed upon term.
  • At the end of the term, the instruments are returned to the participating dealer.
  • The college/university has the option of purchasing the instruments at the conclusion of the college sampler program.
  • Due to the limited availability of instruments, there is no guarantee that these instruments will be available for successive years of a CSP.
