Best 100 Communities for Music Education in America: 2006 Survey

What American communities are providing the best music education for children? For the seventh year in a row, AMC and a partnership of other leading music and education groups are using a national survey to find communities where music making and children are thriving together in quality schools.

The seventh annual “Best 100 Communities for Music Education” survey is currently accepting online submissions, and will remain open through early March. When the results are tallied, 100 communities will be named the best places in the nation to learn about music. To participate in the survey now on behalf of your home community, or to learn more about the program, use the links below.

Conducted by the American Music Conference (AMC); MENC: The National Association for Music Education; The Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation; The Music for All Foundation; MTNA, the Music Teachers National Association; NAMM, the International Music Products Association; NSBA, the National School Boards Association; Perseus Development Corporation; VH1 Save The Music Foundation; and Yamaha Corporation of America, the survey represents an unprecedented partnership among the nation’s leading organizations working on behalf of music and education.
