The Music Edge
Themusicedge.com is an outreach program of the American
Music Conference (AMC), a national non-profit educational
association dedicated to promoting the importance of music,
music-making and music education to the general public. The
goal of themusicedge.com is to give teens access to making
music, something fewer and fewer of them are getting access
to now in schools due to recent music education budget cuts.
Themusicedge.com empowers teens and gives them a voice to
save music programs in their schools!
Geared
as a launching pad for the ambitions of tomorrow's musicians,
themusicedge.com is a place where teens can go for information
on up and coming bands, current stars and a comprehensive
guide to finding the right instrument to express themselves
with. There are also monthly contests, celebrity interviews
and CD and product giveaways that keep teens coming back to
the site on a regular basis.
By aligning ourselves with great partners like TEEN PEOPLE
and DKNY Jeans, the American Music Conference and themusicedge.com
are able to reach millions of teens nationwide and give them
access to music and the making of it. The celebrity signatures
obtained at TEEN PEOPLE's Artist of the Year party on November
16th will be added to themusicedge.com petition that will
be delivered to Congress urging them to keep music in our
schools. To learn more about our efforts and how you can be
